Like every good MMO The objective of OSRS gold shifts dramatically depending on the player. Perhaps you'd like to complete every one of the over 200 quests and earn Legendary Hero status. Perhaps you'd like to master any of the 27 skills to earn the legendary Skill Mastery cape. Maybe you're looking to earn billions from flipping goods at the Grand Exchanges.
You could become an asshole and go kill people who are seeking to kill you in the open as well. It's not even talking about the mini-games and world events, duels, and holidays. Needless to say, the game is huge. It's evident Jagex hasn't stopped updating Gielinor. There's plenty of new software, the most recent one being RuneScape Mobile, which launches July 17.
It was terrifying to go back to the RuneScape Grand Exchange and see people dressed in armor and wielding swords that looked like they could harness god-killing power to shatter my old, gold-trimmed dragon armor and an abyssal whip (that'd be impressive if you were playing back in my time and teen years).
The menus also differed as it turned out the folks at Jagex created a variety of assistance for players from the past and even a nostalgic menu mode. In another nod to old player, I was happy to find out that when I went to cheap OSRS GP and talked to Hans who was a famous NPC from the beginning, I could be rewarded with an oblong, five-, 10- and 15 year veteran's cape. The cape with 15 years on it is a sight worth seeing; it's got fire burning down the lower part of the cape.
