Natalie & Chris's wedding is completely breathtaking, with bridesmaids wearing varied dresses from FeelTimes!
HOW DID YOU MEET YOUR FIANCE?
We met in the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. He was at the Bachelor Party and I was there for a friend's birthday celebration. We were installed by the pool and he and some of his friends emerged to us to inquire about sunscreen. He laughs because we simply had like SPF 8. Both groups hung out all day long by the pool after which later that night. We instantly hit them back. Thankfully he would school at LSU to obtain his Masters's in the time. So although he was from West Monroe and that we met in Mississippi, he lived twenty minutes from me. It was fate!
TELL US ABOUT THE PROPOSAL!
The Proposal was amazing and everything I ever dreamed it might be. We had been dating for a little over 2 yrs and were now living together within our own home. His parents dropped from West Monroe and were sticking with us for that weekend. We had planned to visit the LSU basketball game that Saturday night. Chris was at home all day long "learning how you can cook gumbo" from his dad. Chris' mom and I went shopping for a few hours to get a few last-second Christmas gifts. When I was in line at our last store Chris called to determine how much longer we'd be. He said he desired to time the garlic bread perfect and make sure we'd enough time to eat before the game. His mom desired to drop our items and then leave right away. (I should've known something was up then lol). We examined and made out way home.
I pulled up towards the house and parked underneath the garage. I grabbed all my bags and Chris's mom grabbed hers. She said she would put them in their truck. I walked up towards the door there was a observe that said Natalie onto it. My heart dropped. I dropped all my bags in the door and browse the note. It is simply believed to take a deep breath and stick to the rose petals. When I opened the doorway there would be a path of rose petals and candles leading out the doorway to our backyard. The door includes a big glass window so I could see Chris through it. I walked outside and that he got recorded on one knee and inquired about marrying him. I started bawling crying not to mention saying yes. Next thing I knew there is clapping and cheering. Our families and closest friends were also outside! I am surprised!!! It truly was everything I always imagined. He did an incredible job and never to mention he selected the most perfect ring and I didn't even help! I had simply no idea that he would propose!
HOW DID YOU CHOOSE THE LOCATION FOR YOUR WEDDING? WHAT TYPE OF VENUE WERE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I wanted to obtain married outside and I wanted a plantation look. I was told about White Oak Plantation by my mate. Initially, I was just likely to look, but once because of the tour looking through pictures of previous weddings, I was sold! Unfortunately, it rained on our big day so we had to obtain married inside, however, it still made for any gorgeous ceremony!! Everything was perfect and beautiful and never to mention the employees were wonderful!!
HOW DID YOU DECIDE ON YOUR BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES? TELL US ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE AT FEELTIMES!
It required a while to select my bridesmaid's gowns! I initially wanted to blush, but everybody was doing that so I attempted to go with different things. I went set for my appt and selected something different than what I was left with. I initially chose dresses with purple bridesmaid dresses, blue, and tan as my colors. Then after looking more online I added blush into the mix too. Meghan, co-owner of Baton Rouge, and I are pretty close, she is at my wedding, so I would bother her frequently about her ideas on my changes lol. She is great about helping me decide!
I gave my girls three different styles to select from, but I picked the colors for them. I had three different color dresses. The dresses I chose fit perfectly using the look I was opting for my wedding! All of my girls reached to try the various options and discover which they liked best. They were there every step of the way and couldn't make my experience much better. I also got my mom and stepmom's dresses from feeltimes dresses...
WHO DESIGNED YOUR BRIDAL GOWN? WHERE DID YOU GET IT?
I purchased my gown online at the website www.feeltimes.co.uk.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY?
I had a lot of favorite moments during the day. I loved getting dressed with my girls and I loved experiencing the reception with my new husband. But I have two moments that stick out. I have a young girl named Effie and her and Chris are BFFs. Chris offered me a gift and wrote me a letter before the wedding, which I loved, but the younger crowd gave Effie a present and wrote her the sweetest letter ever. When reading the letter it simply reassured me that Chris was the person of my dreams and everything I ever wished for and more. My true soulmate! My other favorite moment was saying our vows. We didn't write them or anything fancy and our ceremony was super short, but simply knowing that I will reach spend the remainder of my life with my mate made me the happiest girl on the planet, and saying our vows just managed to get all real.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU WHEN YOU WERE PLANNING YOUR BIG DAY?
I love vintage, old, antique things, that is one reason I wanted a plantation look. I also love gold!! I'm sure you can tell if you saw a number of my decor. Pinterest was useful and I also followed wedding planners too. I knew I wanted a conventional classy feel after some of the modern, Pinterest twists too!
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER BRIDES?
I loved planning my wedding!!! I loved researching the flowers, vendors, and palettes and I couldn't wait to determine it all get-together. But once it will come everything comes so quick!! It was a classic magical day! Just take everything in and revel in every second! Remember exactly what the day is really about and do not worry if something doesn't go as planned. I couldn't control the elements, but although I had to obtain married within it was still the most amazing ceremony! I also almost walked on the aisle without my bouquet. But these are stuff that my husband and I look back on and laugh at. Just remember to enjoy your entire day with your new husband! It flies by!
