SOPHIE & BENJAMIN: REAL BRIDE STORY

  • Ben and I are childhood sweethearts who were raised close together within our home village of Garswood, Merseyside. One day we took a vacation to our favorite city, Liverpool where we like to go, and ate in San Carlo restaurant where Ben inquired about being his wife on the candle-lit dinner.

The shop I purchased the vintage wedding dresses from is known as FeelTimes. I chose ivory quite simple but stunning gown; it had been quite a big dress but so comfortable & had that real bride feel. It was built with a very delicate belt that was individually stitched which finished the gown off. The back of my dress was unreal, it had been an open V back with tiny buttons down towards the long train.

My dress was fairly simple, so I was built with a long veil with tiny diamantes on for any touch of glam. My bridesmaids wore fitted nude color dresses and so I wanted my flowers to become colorful and bright, these were incredible and extremely brought life towards the overall look. My 3 flower girls also were built with a colorful flower wand each that was fun and looked so cute! All groomsmen and also the best man wore dark blue suits having a nude/champagne colored tie to help keep with the theme.

I invest 6 bouquets on the top table with tea lights and candelabras. Our favors were personalized love heart biscuits. Our cake would be a 4 tier 'naked cake' surrounded with fruit and flowers it tasted amazing coupled with different flavors in each tier. Go

We had our day filmed and we were overwhelmed whenever we watched it on television, you miss a lot of magical moments, so it's incredible to watch your entire day back over and also over again. A big bonus for me personally is that I own a Hair and Beauty Salon located near to me in Wigan, so all my worries about looking and feeling amazing on my small wedding day were stress-free, we're extremely popular during wedding season so we're confident making the bridal party's looking perfect. My hair and makeup looked so beautiful in all of our photographs because of my girls!

By far the very best moment of our big day was 'Mark the piano guy!'. We hired him for most of our day, he made our wedding breakfast the most memorable, fun, and emotional time when walking on the aisle with my father which will be unforgettable.

We also had an incredible band within the evening called Agent Smith. They sang our first dance song which was a slow version of 'Sweet child of mine' by Guns & Roses, then everyone took towards the dance floor and danced the nighttime away!

My mum also wore a sensational FeelTimes dress having a beautiful hat that included her dress, she stood out a mile coupled with that real 'Mother from the bride' look!

I was lucky as I think I was a significantly relaxed bride. I think for those who have an idea or else you are enthusiastic about certain looks, wedding ceremony planning can be really enjoyable. Shop around, get recommendations, enjoy yourself!

I should also mention Thomas Ellwood who had been our photographer and had been extremely helpful during the run-up in our wedding not to mention on our big day. We wanted more of a relaxed wedding with a lot of natural and fun pictures that is exactly what he did.
